How To Make Homemade Chicken Soup For Cats – Chicken Broth For Cats Recipe

This is how I make homemade chicken broth for the cats. I make a big pot of it and put some in the refrigerator to use within a week and the rest goes into mason jars in the freezer for use later on.

Ingredients
a whole chicken or chicken parts
a carrot
a stalk of celery

Please note: Do not use onions or garlic in any soup that you make for cats. Onions and garlic are harmful to cats. Also do not add any salt or pepper to the soup. That is not necessary and salt can also be harmful to cats.

I use this broth to mix into their food. Whether I give them canned food or raw food, I always mix in some extra liquid for them. It helps to keep their kidneys healthy.

I love using these plastic storage lids instead of the metal lids and rings. It’s much easier and more convenient and saves the metal lids and rings for canning purposes.
