Grandma Feral posted a new video today. Since it is autumn, and we’re in the middle of apple season, she wanted to share a recipe for Easy Apple Brownies.
This is what she says…
This is a quick and easy treat that is perfect in the fall during apple season. When possible, make sure to buy your apples from local orchards for the freshest apples and the best flavor.
Grandma Feral’s Easy Apple Brownies
Ingredients
4 medium apples, diced
1 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 beaten egg
1/2 cup melted butter
Grease and flour an 8″ x 8″ square baking pan. Mix all of the ingredients together. Pour into the baking pan. Sprinkle the top of the brownie mixture with additional cinnamon. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool for about 10 minutes and then serve. This can be served warm or served cold. We like it better served cold the next day. It makes a nice snack or a quick breakfast. Eat more apples! 🙂
