How To Make Birthday Cupcakes For Cats – Birthday Ideas For Cats

Simba and Splash will be celebrating their birthdays in a few days. They are turning 3 years old! I wanted to make them some cupcakes for their birthdays so the cats could have a birthday party! This is the recipe that I came up with as I was filming the video. I had never made it before and I was happy that all of the cats liked them.

Birthday Cupcakes For Cats Recipe

Ingredients:
2 TB raw pumpkin seeds
1 large egg
1/4 tsp grass powder (I use Amazing Grass Trio. On Amazon here: https://amzn.to/2IKkwUi)
1/2 can of tuna
1/16 tsp baking powder (or a few pinches)

For The Frosting:
1 small jar turkey or chicken baby food
1 tsp freeze dried blueberry powder (optional for color)
1 tsp freeze dried raspberry powder (optional for color)

For The Topping:
Multi-colored dry cat food or cat treats of your choice.

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 F.

Grind pumpkin seeds in a small blender. Add one large egg to the pumpkin seeds in the blender, and blend to beat and combine. Add grass powder, baking powder, and tuna and blend well.

Grease a mini muffin pan. Pour batter into greased pan. Batter should be enough to make 6 mini cupcakes. Bake for about 17 minutes or until the cupcakes have risen and look like they are slightly pulling away from the pan.

Let cool for about 10 minutes. The cupcakes will flatten as they cool. Remove from the pan and continue to let cool. (I stored mine in a plastic container in the refrigerator all day.)

Frost the cupcakes with the baby food. If you would like to add color to the baby food, mix in the freeze dried raspberry powder or freeze dried blueberry powder. (I put about 2 teaspoons of baby food in a small bowls and made some of each color.)

Top each cupcake with some multi-colored dry cat food or your cat’s favorite cat treats.

Makes 6 mini cupcakes.
