How To Make Bone Broth For Cats * Bone Broth Recipe

Lucky Ferals Cat Family Vlog Season 4 Episode 92

Let’s make some homemade bone broth for the cats. It will be good for Hydrox to get some extra nutrition in his food this winter. Cats living outside in cold weather burn off additional calories due to the cold. Bone broth for cats is very easy to make and is rich in healthy minerals.

Bone Broth Recipe

Ingredients
Marrow Bones or Soup Bones
1 or 2 TB Apple Cider Vinegar
Water

Roast the bones in a 400 degree oven for 45 minutes. Place the roasted bones in an empty slow cooker. Fill with water. Add apple cider vinegar. Cook on low for 12 – 24 hours.

Storing Bone Broth

After the broth cools, I like to put the broth in straight sided wide mouthed mason jars. I put some of the jars in the refrigerator and freeze the rest. It is very important not to freeze broth in regular mouth mason jars because they will break. The broth expands as it freezes and it will break the curved glass.
