Cat Paw Print Cake – Wilton Pan And Recipe

paw print cake

We celebrated the cats’ birthday with an adorable homemade paw print cake!

We used a Wilton Paw Print Cake Pan which you can find on Amazon here – http://amzn.to/2oZilyx

We made Golden Glow Cake from Ann Pillsbury’s Baking Book (a great vintage cookbook circa 1959). Here is the recipe:

Ann Pillsbury’s Golden Glow Cake

All ingredients must be at room temperature

Sift together……….
2 cups sifted enriched flour
3 teaspoons double-acting baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 cups sugar

Add……….
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup milk

Blend………..
for 2 minutes,
300 strokes,
until batter is well blended.
(With Electric mixer blend at low speed, then beat at medium speed for 2 minutes.)

Add………
1/4 cup milk
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla

Beat………..
for 2 minutes

Pour………..
into pan

Bake………
in moderate oven (350) 35 to 40 minutes.

Cool and frost as desired.

We topped that with 7-minute Icing and Chocolate Ganache.

It was served with Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream.

It was so yummy!

Happy first birthday to Splash and Simba and happy second birthday to Stella!
